Test Cases
This accordion panel allows the user to configure specific settings for a given test case run. Using sliders
or the number pick list the user can select the test case range to run from the test case input
worksheet
There are several optional pill selectors to enable / disable TR4E features:
Simulation
runs TR4E in simulation mode, where TR4E will not call a Test Subject API, rather it will load a simulated
response from the
TR4E configured SharePoint location. This mode is typically used when developing
the request / response transformers using a
sample response payload from the Test Subject API
Debug
This will enable additional debugging in the browser developer console. The debug setting is also
passed to the request / response XSL
-
T transformers and can be used to modify the request payload,
and also the columns in the response worksheet
Results in Separate Table
When enabled each test case result will be in its own Excel table in the test case response worksheet
Sequential Execution
When enabled TR4E will wait for the Test Subject API response to return before sending the next
request. In batch mode TR4E will immediately send requests in batches, as specified by the batch size
in the drop down on the left, and using a stagger delay in the drop down on the right.
Write Base Request
TR4E will write the base XML sourced from the test case worksheet to the TR4E configured SharePoint
location
Write Request
TR4E will write the request JSON / XML sourced transformed from the test case worksheet row to the
TR4E configured SharePoint location
Write Response
TR4E will write the Test Subject API response JSON / XML to the TR4E configured SharePoint location
